Truman is a cowboy’s dream. Go rope, ranch, show, or pleasure ride
– this guy will be your #1 pick from the barn! Truman is a very special
individual, standing a stout 15.2 hands with great conformation. He is a
6-year-old beautiful Red Roan with a flax mane and tail. Truman could
pull an elephant if you roped it. Truman’s pedigree includes PEPTO-
BOONSMAL ($28M+ Sire) and SMART LITTLE LENA (NCHA $42.3 Million DOLLAR
SIRE, #2 All Time Leading Sire). He represents what a true ranch horse should be like.
Truman is solid on the end of a rope, whether it be out on the ranch or backed in the
head box. He is extremely quiet in the box, scores great, leaves flat, easy to ride, and
rates well. He’s stout, strong, and willing to do a day’s work. Truman has doctored
lots of cattle in the pasture and fully understands the process of doing a job. Truman
has always been quiet, gentle, and easy to handle. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his
body and always wants to get along. He’s a great insurance policy for a timid, uncertain, or rider needing some confidence - yet has the tools and ability to step up and get any
job done for the experienced. He is sure footed and will go right where you point him. Truman is truly an old soul in a young body. Step on him after some time off and you’ll
have the same horse. He has a gentle personality and enjoys being groomed, loved on, and just accompanied. Truman will meet you at the gate and follow you around like a
puppy dog. He ground ties where you drop a rein and will easily side pass to open and shut all the gates. Truman has a fancy handle and good neck rein - he’s easy to operate
with no tricks or funny business. Truman was raised by Truman State University’s Equine program in Kirksville, MO. Truman is current on de-worming, vaccinations, Coggins,
farrier, dental care, and comes with a pre-purchase exam already complete. To visit more about Truman, please contact Wyatt (618-535-9966) or Carli (309-357-1954).

19 19 DURANGO
2019 Buckskin Grade
Gelding 14.2 HH
Durango stole the hearts of our children! He is a 1/2 Gypsy and 1/2
Quarter horse cross; Durango is 14.2 hands and is the perfect size
and the prettiest Buckskin color you can imagine. Not only is he pret-
ty to look at but definitely trained the absolute best in both English
and Western riding and pulling a carriage. He has seen countless
miles on the trail and has been downtown. Without batting an eye, he will go down
the trail, over logs with ease and crosses rushing water, and will go up and down
the mountains without any issues. Durango has been ridden by all levels of rider’s
and can adjust to whatever your needs are. Whether you are babysitting the kids or
taking the grandparents on a leisurely afternoon ride with the carriage, this special
dude will get it done. Durango has 3 very comfortable gaits whether you are 4 or
44 you can sit his trot and canter. His walk is so comfortable and confident you
want to spend as much time on him as possible. His trot is as smooth as butter
and his canter makes you think you are on the back of an eagle floating through
the sky. You don’t have to keep him in a steady program to keep him the same.
He is always happy to see you and will meet you at the gate. He stands good in
the cross ties or will ground tie to be saddled, bathed, or clipped. He is very good
with being sprayed with fly spray or the children playing dress up with him. It
simply does not matter to him. As soon as he entered our program and we started
introducing him to new things, we knew without a doubt he was going to be in our
Ride the Wave Premier Horse Sale line up. He has been trailered to various places
and comes off like he’s been there a lot of times. We just cannot find any faults in him, so we invite you to take a look at this stunning dream horse that we call Durango.
If you can find a fault please tell us, if not please tell the world that you have a Buckeye Graduate! Durango is UTD on shots and deworming. To learn more about this
all-star, give Duane at Buckeye Acre Farm a call.
