P. 2
Welcome
Crosshair Simmental Hello and welcome to our annual production sale.
Ben & Cassie Kleppe
Brinley, Hailey, Jaxson, We first want to thank our past buyers for their confidence and support of our program, we
Colton, Jace & Bodey are grateful for the support and friends we have made being in this business.
3220 48th St SE • Dawson, ND 58428 The bulls have been fed a complete mixed ration consisting of chopped hay, silage, corn, dis-

on October 11th and continued for 127 days. We feel this long test shows honestly what they
can do through weaning process and over a good portion of the winter. We always try to grow
the bulls and not push them.
We take pride in representing our cattle honestly, absolutely no “fluffed” numbers or informa-
tion. We believe in trying to breed the most balanced and functional cattle possible. We do not
chase any one individual trait. All the bulls are semen tested, soundness evaluated and this
year we genomic enhanced all the sale offering’s EPDs. The bulls are ready to go to work for
you.
We are excited for you to see the bulls. We try to bring a consistent offering from end to end
for you to appraise. They are bred to grow and fed to last in anyone’s program.
This year again we have some of our great customers bringing some excellent top-end com-
mercial heifers for the offering be sure to check them out.
We would like to invite you to take the evening off and join us on April 26, 2024, at 5 p.m. at
Napoleon Livestock. If you are unable to attend the sale, we encourage you to view the bulls
at the ranch any time before the sale and receive $100 credit towards your bull purchase or
give us a call and we would be happy to recommend something to fit your individual needs.
This year we have videos of the offering available online on dvauction.com or our website,
crosshairsimmental.com. We hope to see you at the sale and see for yourself how a bull from
CHSR can add pounds to your calf crop and improve your profitability. Thank you for your
interest and support.

Huber EY Red Angus Hello from Huber EY Red Angus,
Bryan & Emmy, Isaac, Alex & Betsy Huber Thanks for taking time to look into what we have to offer at our upcoming sale. Our
5866 76th Ave SE • Jud, ND 58454 month of March has consisted of lots of basketball, lots of calving, and a little sleep. We

We continue to work for you guys in culling hard, focusing on balanced traits, and
striving to grow bulls that are going to go out and work. We feed all the bulls here at the
ranch, using a TMR wagon allowing us to manage a higher roughage ration. Rations con-
sist of alfalfa, hay barley, hay, corn silage, dry DDG, corn, barley and a mineral supple-
ment. The only creep they see is a cocci pellet in the spring for a few weeks before
turnout. Our plan is to grow them responsibly and feed for 3 lb/ADG.
Our cow herd and herd sires have been 50K DNA tested for genetic and parentage as-
sessment. The bulls will have passed their first semen exam by Dr. Galbreath before sale
day and will receive a foot rot shot.
We need to thank our kids and our hired men, Joe and Garrett, for the help throughout
the year. Hard to believe we have been raising Red Angus cattle for 27 years now – they
are the glue that holds are marriage together. (That was a joke and the only lie I told in
this letter.)
Thanks to our past buyers for believing in what we are doing, and we look forward to
meeting our new buyers. Please call with any questions or stop by for a visit.
