GARDS FANCY BOMBER, aka “Sexy Rexy,” is a flashy,
solid-boned, naturally muscled and pretty-moving 3-year-old
gelding who is sure to turn heads. Rex stands at 15 HH and
weighs approximately 1,200 pounds. Rex is APHA Solid Paint
Bred, going back to JOE HANCOCK and DRIFTWOOD, two of the greatest
cowboy horses of all time. What is unique about Rex is that, despite his
age, he is consistently the most trusted and honest mount we have at
the ranch. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime horse, we have never come across
a gentler and more willing partner. He rides like your trusted old friend.
Rex has been used in a multitude of creative film projects with people and
companies such as The Castellows, Compton Cowboys, Farnam and most
notably Post Malone for his F – 1 Trillion album release. We trust Rex with
Posty, with new riders, with kids – he’d even be fine with the dang dog on
his back if we had to! He is just as honest with a camera crew in his face
as he is when tracking a cow. Throw a rope off him, trail ride him, day
work himor stick him in the show ring – this guy is consistent and true.
Rexy has a strong reining foundation that we believe could take him far
with some finishing. He W/T/C with a strong distinction between large fast
and small slow, as well as jog versus working trot. Quick stops, spins, roll-
backs – everything is fun and easy on this big guy and with consistency,
he will get stronger and faster as he ages. Bareback, bridleless, English,
Western – Rex has done it all. Rexy has no vices. He stands for the farrier
(has never had shoes), self-loads, ties, bathes, clips and is a pleasure to
be around. His biggest flaw is that he’s a glutton for anything he can eat
and when he’s with the kids, they often struggle to keep his head out of
a green patch of grass! He has never taken a misstep in his time with us.
