as he is in, Potter has no problem tackling busy roads or
winding trails. He has spent many hours on trails with riders
of all levels and will cross any obstacle, go where he’s pointed and isn’t buddy or barn sour. Potter is the go-to horse for beginners or inexperienced
riders. He has been hauled all over to rodeos and handles it all with ease. He lopes a cute barrel pattern and is fought over by kids wherever we go. Potter
has given children as young as 6-years-old independent riding lessons and is happy to plod around the arena all day long – especially if some scratches
and treats are involved! Potter is fun to work and rope cows off, will side pass to open and close gates and doesn’t hesitate to go over bridges, deadfall,
water and brush. He’s been used to start and flag colts, rope and hold calves for doctoring and track calves out of the breakaway box. He would no doubt
be a valuable hand on the ranch. Potter has competed in Ranch Horse Competitions in Stock Horse Pleasure, Stock Horse Trail, Stock Horse Reining
and Working Cow Horse, showcasing his versatility. Potter is also good to drive and has been hooked single, double and three-abreast. He stands quiet
and patient to be harnessed or saddled, no matter how long it takes and is happy to side pass over to a fence or mounting block. Potter carries a flag
and could easily excel as a queening horse, in paradesor in grand entry at rodeos. He has even undergone mounted patrol horse training and received
a certificate for walking through fire, smoke, sirens, barking dogs and more. Bareback, bridleless, English, Western, double or triple, Potter will ride
however you fancy. Everything he does with a bridle, he’ll do bridleless – you can catch, saddle, ride and put him away completely at liberty, no halter or
bridle needed! Built as wide as he is tall, Potter has great conformation and thick bone, making him more than capable of carrying any size rider. Whether
you ride him every day or every other month, Potter will saddle up and ride off the same as you left him. A total babysitter, Potter is one of the friendliest
horses you’ll ever meet – he lives to please and will leave the herd on 20+ acres to meet you at the gate. If possible, he’d follow you into the house and
lounge with the family for movie night (especially if food is involved – he’s a foodie!). Potter knows fun tricks like smile, bow, lie down and sit and has
the aptitude to learn more. He loads and unloads himself, is uncomplicated to haul, great for the farrier, a gentleman to clip and will stand for hours to be
bathed and pampered. Built to last, Potter has always been 100% sound with no health problems. He’s UTD on dental, shoeing and vaccines and comes
with a current clean bill of health, soundness and a full set of recent x-rays for peace of mind. We invite potential buyers to our home to meet Potter and
pride ourselves in offering quality horses to forever families. We’re happy to assist in any way, even after you take them home. With his lovable demean-
or, gorgeous looks and wide range of abilities, it’s hard not to fall in love with Hairy Potter! For more information, call Bridgett anytime.
