EGL Great Western, sire to Lot 88
A larger-framed, attractively made bull that could work on bigger-framed heifers while still offering plenty
of performance for cows. We sampled Great Western after being impressed with his build and movement
in his yearling sale video. He brings strong carcass traits to the table and paired exceptionally well with our
powerful Riddler heifers. All three Great Western sons in the sale have been consistent standouts from a

MGD to Lot 90

Lot 90 is an excellent choice for a sleep-all-night heifer bull. He’s easy-fleshing, moderately framed, and eye-
appealing. He was one of my breeding picks this past summer to clean up our heifers. He ranks in the top 5%
of the breed for birth weight EPD and the top 35% or better for CE, ADG, MCE, Milk, and Docility. You’ll want
to keep his daughters—we calved the first ones this past year and are impressed with their easy-fleshing

Dam with a full brother to Lot 92 from this summer

Lot 92 is backed by a really strong cow family, including a coming 12-year-old granddam who is still active
in the herd with excellent feet and udder quality. Both the dam and granddam exemplify these traits. We’ll
have a full brother to Lot 92 in next year’s sale, and he’s already been a standout. We were fortunate to
acquire some Resource semen before it became scarce and expensive, and we have a handful of promising
daughters in the bred heifer pen. Lot 92 ratioed a 102 for weaning. Maternal granddam to Lot 92
