Welcome to our 47th annual sale. In 1961, our Patriarch
and Matriarch Ralph and Helen Pederson, purchased their fi rst Red
Angus females from Becton Stock Farm. A little over six decades
have gone by but we still have the same philosophy of raising cattle
and Quarter Horses. We also have been fortunate to have repeat
customers that date back to the beginning.
We have enjoyed producing Registered Red Angus all our
lives and have met many producers and have made lifelong friends.
We are very proud of the fact that our genetics have played a role
in commercial programs that are recognized for top selling replace-
ment quality females and steers that push the scale to the limit.
Your success is what drives us to select and produce cattle that
The Pederson Family are exceeding industry average. The Red Angus breed just keeps
growing in popularity and doesn’t show any indication of slowing
anytime soon. Heifers are out selling their steer mates and more
and more breed associations are using Red Angus females for their
crossbreeding selections. With the advancement of technology there
are numerous tools to help with herd bull selection.
Feel free to visit with us anytime and we can use our
decades of experience to answer questions that will assist you in
fi ne tuning your herd. Our philosophy hasn’t changed any about
Gary and Sue raising cattle. “Staying consistent” and selecting for a balanced
set of traits. We simply focus on females that are feminine, highly
maternal, with outstanding feet and leg structure, with level udders.
We strive to have these qualities combined with cattle that are deep
sided, long bodied and have plenty of muscle wrapped up in a quiet
and easy to handle package.
The bulls were weaned in the fi rst part of October. They
weaned great and did well during the cold spells and negative
windchills. We will have them carcass ultrasound evaluated late
February and will have Oahe Vet palpate and scrotal measure all
the bulls. That information will be available through a supplement
sheet sale day or on our website www.pedersonredangus.com We
Chad, Lisa, and will not have the bulls semen tested due to their younger age, but
Bricelyn we do stand behind them when that time arrives prior to breeding.
This year, the entire offering is parent verifi ed with GGP testing for
enhanced EPDs.
We would like to thank everyone for attending and consid-
ering using our genetics in your program. Bull selection is never
an easy task and feel free to ask us any questions about the bulls.
We will help you select bulls with the traits that you would like to
improve and help you get to your end-product goal.
