BOLT EPDS UPDATE
On Sept. 4, 2018, the Red Angus Association of America made the IGS Multi-
breed EPDs powered by BOLT available to our membership. We want to reach
out to all Red Angus stakeholders and clarify that we are still working through
some details in making sure that all technical process are functioning correctly.

When making transitions like this there is always the potential for problems to
arise. If any such diffi culty is discovered, it will be evaluated and fi xed as quickly
as possible. Therefore, changes to an animal’s EPDs from week to week could
be due to RAAA making improvements in our technical procedures. This is not
a refl ection of the BOLT/Theta Solutions software system, or the stability of the
IGS Multi-breed evaluation.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we identify any potential problems and
work to fi x them. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to send an
