Meet Captain, our version of a once-in-a-lifetime horse! At
just 6 years old and standing right at 15HH tall with fl awless
confi rmation, a mouthwatering look and talent to burn, he is
gentle, sensible and the single most versatile horse I’ve ever
stepped across! He is truly one in a million and is incredibly
special to our family. We have done everything under the sun on Captain.
He has been successfully shown in the reining, boxing, western rail, ranch
riding, cow horse and the versatility ranch horse class! Captain knows his
job and is incredibly trained. But he is also quiet, forgiving and will fi t any
rider like a glove. This horse absolutely does not get fresh in ANY way. No
matter the time off, he still saddles up the exact same every time. Not only is
Cap a wonderful show horse but he has had real-world experience. We have
doctored some cattle on Captain in the wheat pasture, branded lots of calves,
used him to wean and sort calves, and we’ve steer stopped quite a few on
him in the arena. Captain has all the run you could need and plenty of rate to
go along with it. He puts you in the right spot every single time and absolute-
ly takes the best care of you no matter your experience or lack of! Captain
has also been ridden by our 5-year-old daughter. He has safely taken her
through trail rides at the Palo Duro Canyon, as well as taught her a lot in the
arena. Captain has a great look on a cow and is easy to cut on. When I tell
you Captain is incredibly trained, it doesn’t even cover it. He has stylish spins
both directions, he can +1 the extended trot, circles perfectly, fast and slow, has effortless lead changes and has a ginormous stop! This horse is textbook easy to ride; all
of his cues are simple, and he will literally do his job with a string around his neck. We believe this horse will fi t any level of rider. He has a heart of gold; he is incredibly
kind and tries his hardest at any job you give him. He has a sweet inquisitive personality that will melt your heart with impeccable manners that make him a dream for
anyone to handle! My most favorite thing about Captain is he is super versatile, and when I say versatile, I mean you could step this horse out of his stall 6 months fresh
and go drag calves on a chilly morning or go to a horse show and enter almost any class they have on the entry form, or let your little one climb up his side and go for a
joy ride. It really does not matter to him! Anything you ask of him he will give you his all – I guarantee it! It’s no accident Captain is such an outstanding horse. He is sired
by NCHA Horse Hall of Fame inductee, Spots Hot (LTE $529,435 Offspring Earnings: $7,385,864) and out of the good mare, Cabana Rey (LTE $23,740) who’s foals have
earned over $50K so far! Cabana Rey is sired by none other than Cats Merada who has offspring earnings in excess of $5 million and is without a doubt one of the most
