P. 2
Welcome
We at Southern Reds are again excited to welcome our friends and col-
leagues to our second annual spring bull sale. Our goal is to continue to make
this a low-key stress-free event to allow our customers to meet each other
and grow their contacts as well as buy bulls without emotion in our cowboy
style auction.
We believe the bulls we are offering in this sale are the best calves we have
raised to date. A Decade of selecting cows that are fertile, productive and
that thrive in a forage only system is built into these bulls. We continue to
operate on 100% forage, with every animal we own having to survive on
stockpiled grass through large portions or all of the winter.
We are not here to raise a few great bulls. Our goal with each calf crop is to make them more consistent and uni-
form in their type, kind, and genetic background as we believe consistency and uniformity is the easiest way to add
value in the beef business. To have consistent calves in a cross-bred operation, it is imperative that a bull is consis-
tent in his genetic make-up. We will be the first to admit that our cattle are not perfect, but they are improving with
every generation due to the environmental pressure that we place on all classes of cattle that we own.
If you have any questions about our program or would like to see the cows or bulls in person, please reach out
to us before or even after the sale. We would love to walk you through our cowherd so that you can better grasp
what our program is about and if you think we have solutions to the needs of your own cowherd. We look forward
to seeing you on April 21st!
Thank you,
