Just like the material - Denim is versatile, rugged, western, comfortable –
All the best ways to describe him. This kindhearted Bay Roan gelding looks
stunning dressed up in either western or English tack. He’s handy to use
on the ranch and quiet to ride in town. Always in good hands, Denim had
one owner from his two-year-old year until we were able to put him in our
program. He’s a seasoned ranch horse, rope horse and quickly masters new tasks. He
has a nice ground covering walk that makes gathering cattle out of a pasture a breeze.
Denim hits the ground lightly which gives him a trot that is easy to sit and a rocking
horse lope. He’s soft in the bridle, moves readily off your leg and is extremely smooth
to ride. Very well broke, Denim will stop on a dime if you whisper whoa. He scores
exceptionally well, has plenty of run and rates cattle easily. His gentle personality and
talent quickly made him a barn favorite when we got him. He’s so polite and easy to be
around that he’ll be your top pick no matter what the day brings. Gifted with impressive
bone and good sense from his Hancock bloodlines, Denim is a son of PEPPER JOE HANCOCK whose offspring are known for their talent in the roping pen and trainability. His dam
is by 6666’s ranch stallion PG GUNPOWDER, a son of the great PLAYGUN. The perfect example of an outstanding ranch horse breeding program, Denim stands an athletic and user
friendly 15.2, has substantial bone, good big hard feet, and weighs 1250 lbs. Well balanced conformation, trainability and of course that gorgeous bay roan color makes him the total
package. Always friendly and happy to see people, Denim is a perfect gentleman on the ground. His gentle nature makes him pleasant to shoe, groom, bathe, and haul. He settles into
new places quickly and acts sensible when tied up. We have loved the privilege of having Denim in our barn and welcome you to come meet him any time before the sale.
