32 THE FIREMAN Grade
Brown Roan
John
14.3 HH Year Born: 2015
The Fireman – we knew he was special the first time we rode
him and he’s been a joy to ride every single day! The Fireman is
GORGEOUS, talented, great minded and the most prized mule in
the barn! He has tons of ability, is well trained and uniquely colored with a great
pedigree! He has a sweet, gentle, WILLING personality and is built to carry any
size rider all day long. On the trail he is CONFIDENT riding out by himself, fits in
with a group and is always happy to lead or follow. He’s been ridden everywhere
from forests in the Midwest, Arizona deserts, across meadows and up the biggest
Montana mountains you can find. He knows how to go up and down steep areas,
crosses logs, bridges, creeks, and is confident facing new obstacles. He’s great
with 4-wheelers, machinery, dogs, deer, grouse and all kinds of wildlife. We’ve
ridden him down dirt roads with traffic, side x sides, bikes and dogs. He opens
and closes gates with ease, and loads and hauls well. Fireman stands perfectly for
saddling, bridling and mounting, happily moving to a mounting block if needed.
We’ve had very novice riders take him out in the trail and he always brings them
back safe and happy. There’s no funny business with this AMAZING mule. The Fire-
man is extremely WELL TRAINED for all kinds of arena and ranch work. He stops,
sidepasses and backs effortlessly. He’s very controllable, moves off leg pressure
with an excellent neck rein. He has a smooth trot, a naturally collected canter and
steps right up into a big Texas trot when asked. He is smooth riding at all gaits with
a real PRESENCE, elegantly moving around the arena with a loose flowing rein. On
the ranch he stands like a statue ground tied if you need to stop and fix a fence,
we’ve swung ropes off him and he loves moving cattle. Fireman does lots of fun TRICKS including laying down, sitting up and even smiling. He’s unfazed by bouncy balls,
tarps, bull whips, balloons, umbrellas, guns, and everything else we’ve shown him! He’s really smooth and lots of fun to play around on, we’ve even ridden him bareback
and bridless! Whatever type riding you do it will be comfortable all day long and you’ll be looking forward to your next fun adventure. The Fireman is a willing, confident
partner to have a beautiful Saturday trail ride, work around the ranch, and is 100% TALENTED and PRETTY enough to compete at the mule show! He’s a mule the entire
family can enjoy for a lifetime of Happy Trails! Bryan Mahoney • Mahoney Mules & Horses • (406) 839-4224
