Pockets is the coolest colored gelding dressed in a sooty buck-
skin coat with a long mane and tail to boot, this old-school bred
gelding is by a DOC TARI (NRHA & EQUISTAT Cutting offspring LTE:
$4,638,000+) out of a BUENO CHEX (no intro needed). He is one of
the few old-school foundation bred geldings left. This gelding has
proven himself in all aspects. He’s a finished bridle horse – switch end rope horse
– shown in the ranch riding – rides English and Western – Pockets is the definition
of an all-around gelding; you do not want to miss out on this high-class individual. He is a solid switch end rope horse
that will absolutely fit any number roper. Whether you’re looking for one to haul to the rodeos this season or a horse
you can go learn on, this gelding is all there. He was hauled the last year by a #7 heeler and is gentle enough for anyone.
Pockets is solid in the box, scores perfect, leaves flat and handles fast cattle, with plenty of rate and strong at the horn.
He’s just as good to heel on and has been hauled and won on. He has all the tools and speed for a higher number roper
but has enough mind and sense to gentle down for lower number ropers. We’ve started him in the breakaway, and he
would be extremely easy to finish. He has been through the barrier, leaves flat, and scores great. We’ve used this gelding
in all aspects of ranch work, including dragging calves, doctoring outside, and gathering large pastures. Working gates
and loading trucks, etc. This gelding is extremely soft in the bridle and formally trained. He carries himself flawlessly and
has outstanding lead departures, changes, spins both directions with ease, he’s a monster stopper and stays in frame, and he rides bridleless perfectly. Pockets have
been shown in the ranch riding extensively and has been won on. He has proven to be safe, sane, and sound in all areas with a very black & white personality – we have
found no gray. He is easy to shoe, saddle, and bathe, and goes out alone with ease. Not buddy sour or barn sour. Pockets is a solid trail horse and will get anyone noticed.
He does not mind loud machinery and equipment, has been in all types of terrain, and hauled just about everywhere a horse can go. From town to the mountains, he is
