Houston is a gorgeous, jaw-dropping, 9-year-old, 14.2 HH,
1,200-pound gray, grade gelding. He turns heads everywhere he
goes, and people stop to stare. He is stout and built like a brick house
with a long mane and tail. He is an outstanding, ready-to-haul heel
horse you can take anywhere. He will score like a rock and give you
a perfect shot every time. Drop the reins, and he will do his job heeling. I tie on
my horn, and he takes the hit every time. He is an excellent lower number horse.
He has been to several jackpots in breakaway roping and even helped me get an
American qualifying spot. He is a rancher’s dream that anyone can ride regardless
of experience. He will turn back any cow and can drop to his belly both ways to cut
one. He is super tame and has the cute trait of a whinny every time you come to
the barn with the excitement of seeing you. He loves people and treats. He will ride
around in any bridle you have in the barn. He is the perfect family horse that every-
one can enjoy. He will go as fast as you want, from a slow lope to a fast run and
slide. He can be stalled up, laid off for months at a time with no buck or craziness
when you go back to riding. You don’t have to saddle early or ride him down for
any adventure you’re going on. My program is all feed and no ride - I enter a jack-
pot, and he works regardless of time off on him. He lopes both leads, spins, slides,
trims, and bathes. He is great at hauling by eating and drinking. I have owned this
horse for 5 years and am only selling because I mainly head steers and he sits in
