Fun-sized and as cute as can be, Ozzie quickly became a family
favorite the minute he arrived. With an array of fancy buttons and an
incredibly kind temperament, he’s the perfect partner for whatever the
day brings. At 11 years old, Ozzie’s mature attitude makes him a great
fit for someone that doesn’t ride every day. He will stay trained and
gentle with extended time off and doesn’t require professional tuning. He’s been
enjoyed at horse shows in ranch reining, ranch riding, and ranch trail by amateurs
and youth. Ozzie has a super smooth trot, rocking horse lope, and the easiest tran-
sitions imaginable. He even knows voice commands. Extremely user-friendly, Ozzie
has been fabulous for our 14-year-old son to learn what a well-trained horse feels
like in the show pen. He’s taught Luke about lead changes, correct spins, smooth
transitions, and really built his confidence on trail obstacles. Ozzie’s expertise in
the show pen allows even less experienced riders to perform like professionals.
Ozzie won $2,000 in the NRHA before beginning his ranch horse career. Enjoyable
outside the arena as well, Ozzie moves out with a pleasant ground-covering walk
and a sensible attitude about life. Very surefooted, Ozzie will carefully pick his way
through rougher terrain, making sure to take good care of his rider. He’s been out
with crazy dogs, traffic, and tractors—it’s all in a day’s work. Sired by NRHA Hall
of Fame inductee WIMPYS LITTLE STEP, whose offspring have amassed over $12
million in earnings. The bottom side of his pedigree includes SMART CHIC OLENA,
an all-time leading sire of NRHA, NRCHA, and AQHA Reining, Cow Horse, and Ranch Horse money and point earners. Ozzie’s athletic ability that enables him to shine in
the show pen comes from these legendary bloodlines. Ozzie might not be the biggest horse in the barn, standing 14.1 HH and weighing 1100 pounds, but his personality
is larger than life. He loves people and will greet you with a nicker whenever he sees you. Always a perfect gentleman on the ground, Ozzie enjoys any kind of attention.
He’s easy to bathe, clip, shoe, catch, and haul—his easy-going temperament makes him very user-friendly for all to enjoy. We’ve enjoyed our time with Ozzie and are ex-
cited to introduce you to him. Please call Estevan at 505-450-5519 to chat about Ozzie or set up a time to come meet him. We’re confident that you’ll love him like we do.

42 JUNIOR Grade
Palomino
2016
Gelding 14.1 HH
Junior is an 8-year-old gelding with a beautiful mane and tail. He has
an easy-going disposition and heart for the job. This Haflinger stands
14.1 HH and weighs 1,060 pounds. We purchased him at age 6 as
a project for our then 13-year-old son, Ace. Ace has done all of the
riding on him. Junior has roped many calves in the wheat pasture.
He is stout, well-built, and honest. Junior pulls well from the horn and has been a
good horse for our family. He moves through cattle quietly. He has a smooth lope
and plenty of stamina for a hard day’s work. This classy-looking Haflinger has done
everything asked of him. Because he is easy to get along with, everyday ranch
work is easy with Junior. Junior loads and hauls well. He is easy to shoe and catch.
We know Junior has many years of ranch work ahead of him. For more informa-
tion, please call Ace Rickard at 940-781-5768.
