39 TINK
2013 Palomino Grade
Mare 13 HH 800 lbs.
Tink is a 7-year-old palomino Haffl inger-cross mare that stands
right at 13 HH tall. She is absolutely adorable with that fl axen
mane! She turns into a gorgeous golden palomino color in
the summer and has mane and tail for days! Tink is ready to
be your next ranch hand or rodeo pony! She has spent the last year fi lling
her résumé on the ranch doing everyday jobs from gathering pastures to
roping and dragging calves to the fi re during branding time. She can hang
with the big boys and pull the beefi est calf right to the branding crew and
boy, does she do it in style! She loads in anything you point her toward
and is happy to ride along right next to the big ranch horses. You would be
hard pressed to fi nd something this little mare can’t do! Tink is dynamite
in a little golden package! She has a HUGE stop for a pint-sized little mare.
She packs my husband and myself with ease through the sandy hills and
never lets anyone leave her in the dust. I don’t think she knows her size
because she would square up with a bull if you would let her! Her walk is
a true ranch horse walk that really covers ground and is comfortable to
sit all day. If you want one that can go all day and still have gas left in the
tank, she is your gal. She is agile as a cutter and strong as a draft! You
can saddle her up at 5 a.m. in a blizzard and she will ride just the same as
a warm summer day, ready to go to work! We really put her to the test on
the ranch and she has done nothing but rise to the challenge. She would
make a great little trail horse as well. You will be hard pressed to fi nd any-
thing that will ruffl e her feathers. She is solid as a rock outside and always
up for a nice trip around town! We have been testing her skills in the arena
as well and she sure doesn’t disappoint! She is quick and catty when you
need her to be and slow and steady for the more relaxed atmosphere. Tink
has tried her hand on the cutting fl ag and tracking behind live cattle and
she wants to be a gritty little cowpony. She will pin her ears and track the
calves across the pen and really makes roping on her fun! We have logged
her in preparation for tying calves and she is very strong from the horn
and really knows how to stay under herself and keep the rope tight. This
is where Tink shines! She loves to drag her butt, and really stays nice and
soft behind the bit and works off your seat and legs well. She rides just
like the big boys, only cuter! If you are looking for a stout-made, easy-on-
the eyes, classy-looking little mare, you have defi nitely found her! We are
tickled to be able to offer such a nice little mare in this sale!
