If you want a bull that will take extreme calving ease all the way
to the top of the scales at weaning, look no further! Patriot is a
product of a Tesla daughter from the high production Ophelia
cow family. His dam, a fi rst calf heifer, is posting an MPPA
of 107, followed by a maternal pedigree posting a 102, 108
and 106 in succession. The 108 belongs to the performance-
minded GMRA Ophelia 036. This maternal power is combined
with calving ease sire, Independence. Patriot hit the ground at
a modest 63# and took that birth weight to a WW ratio that ties
for 4th in the class and a WDA ratio of 107. CED, BW, CEM
and Milk EPDs are all in the top 10% of the breed. Just one
look tells you his calves will come nice and easy. He features
a smaller head, fl owing into a smooth shoulder, followed by
a smooth muscle pattern throughout. His profi le is second to
none with a straight top and a tight sheath. He has excellent feet
and legs with a nice stride. And the cherry on top? Disposition -
he is one of the gentlest bulls in the pen! This is a calving ease
bull that will do it all!

There is no way you can ignore Apache when you walk into
the bull pen. He is a standout, with a nice straight topline,
expressive muscle pattern, and all the depth and capacity in the
world. Take a step toward him for another look and you will fi nd
out just how calm his disposition is! The Excellence progeny
are known for calving ease and this bull will add growth and
carcass to that equation. He posts a WDA ratio of 101, an IMF
of 104 and a REA of 101. He features an incredibly complete
number profi le with 11 numbers in the top 25% and all but 3 in
the top 50%. Single digit standouts are ProS, HB, CEM, Stay,
YG and REA. He will be easy to breed to, going into any herd
and complementing existing EPD profi les. And don’t forget
the strength of the maternal pedigree. His dam features a 102
MPPA on 8 calves, following a maternal pedigree featuring
MPPA’s ranging from 100-105 going back to a 1980 born dam
before you see one under 100. The proof is in a Stay EPD that
is tied for #3 in the class.
