This bull holds his own with a moderate birth weight and
impressive gain ratios. He is built like a tank and exhibits an
impressive rear quarter with extra length and great capacity all
sitting atop an excellent feet and leg structure. But now it’s time
for a history lesson and this is where things get interesting…
The maternal lineage is one of the most high-end production
sets of females we have come across. His dam has in impres-
sive MPPA of 108 and the grandam features a 104. The great
grandam has an MPPA of 99, but that is the ONLY MPPA of
less than 100 in the entire straight maternal pedigree line
going back to the start of it all. All the way back to Red Angus
Foundation Female, BKT Larkablle 2, born in 1949, holding
RAAA registration #95. And when I say foundation, I mean her
pedigree says ‘Foundation Angus’ in place of her dam’s name.
Now take a look at her sire, Larkspur. He was born in 1945 and
owned by Mrs. Waldo E. Forbes, and he is registration #1. Yes,
that’s #1 in all of Red Angus! Yup, purchase this bull and you
could own a piece of history!

Just look at the phenotype on one of the youngest bulls in the offering! He is very
capacious with a square butt and deep rear quarter showcasing a smooth, yet
powerful muscle pattern. High end growth rates an ADG ratio of 105 and WDA of
106. 9 numbers are in the top 25% of the breed or higher and 7 of those are in
the top 10%, with a CW at 2%, and WW, YW and ADG all in the top 1%. His WW
EPD is tied for #5 in the offering. Growth and maternal combine with an impressive
maternal pedigree from the Peacha cow family. His dam has an MPPA of 101 on
5 calves. You have to go back over 35 years to fi nd a dam in the maternal lineage
that posts an MPPA under 101. His great grandam was a highly prolifi c donor cow,
Lot 12 who posted a 107. He’s double bred Lakota on the paternal side, giving him an
extensive, high performance pedigree on the top side as well.
