Premier Mule Sale
29 ANNIE NASMDA
Red Roan
Molly
14.3 HH Year Born: 2017
The sun shines bright on this Kentucky mule! Boomin Annie Okie is
a beautiful Red Roan molly mule coming to you from Kelso Mules
in Murray, Kentucky. Eight years old in the Summer of 2025, Annie
stands 14.3 HH. Annie is by the Scooter’s Tomahawk Jack and out
of Blue Jane Pepto, a Gray AQHA registered Quarter Mare that is a great-grand-
daughter of the original Peppy San Badger. She is super easy to be around and
does not mind dogs or traffic. Annie is easy to catch, load, and shoe. She has
more buttons than a button factory: neck reins, side passes, takes both leads,
walks, trots, lopes, and backs. Annie is good with her ears and will stand untied
to be brushed, saddled, or mounted. She rides off with ease and has been trail
ridden extensively in the hills of Kentucky and Tennessee, as well as the mountains
out West. The sixth generation Kelso name is synonymous with good quality
mule stock, and we stand behind what we sell. On any given day, we have about a
hundred mules in inventory. We think Annie could be the gentlest and most well-
trained mule we have ever owned. She will be the same when you get her home
as she is represented on sale day. We are proud to offer Annie for your evaluation.
Feel free to call us anytime or come by the farm before the sale to check her out
for yourself. Call Jody Kelso or email mail@kelsomules.com.

30 LITTLE DARLIN Grade
Bay Dun
Molly
14.1 HH Year Born: 2020
Darlin is a pretty Bay Dun molly and one of those mules who only
come along once or twice in a lifetime. She was born gentle and
just about born broke. She is 14.1 HH but just 5 years old and will
probably finish out at 14.2HH. She will weigh around 950 pounds,
plenty big enough to pack a full-grown man in the roughest country, and she has.
She is super friendly and always easy to catch, even in a large pasture. Darlin has
a can-do attitude and is always ready and eager for her next adventure. She loves
to be groomed and fussed over including clipping, hoof trimming and shoeing
and even bathing. She will load or unload safely in any trailer and can back out if
you need her to. She has been used for hunting in the Deschutes River Canyon of
Oregon, scouting elk in the Salmon River country of Idaho, trail riding in the Cas-
cade and Ochoco Mountains of Oregon, elk hunting in the back country of Eastern
Oregon and trail riding in the canyon country of Southern Utah and Northern
Arizona. Darlin rides out alone without problems, will lead a group of riders and
is fine in the middle or in the back. This molly has a huge heart, will go anywhere
you ask. You will not wear her out! She crosses fast moving water, ditches, logs
and gulleys carefully and without hesitation, and without jumping. She will readily
walk right into belly deep water, across narrow foot bridges, over down trees, and
across rough, rocky terrain. Darlin will put up with about anything you ask of her
as long as her people are there with her. She would be a great mule for a rider of
any skill level and will be your new best friend. Darlin has been my personal mule
of choice for the last year, and I will miss her. She is ready for your next adventure
with a new set of shoes and a current Coggins. For more information about this
special mule or if you would like to come meet her at our ranch before the sale or
come ride her the week of Mule Days, contact Pam.
